Top 10 Games I’m Looking forward to in 2020 (and the memiest vids i could find for em)
10) Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind (Release Date: February 25)
I seriously need to catch up: I’m only on the fourth level of KH3 on my Xbox One right now and this is coming out, uh, tomorrow. This especially is embarrassing since I literally preordered this game when it came out a year ago. I choose not to spoil myself with the trailer, which is ultimately fine when you’re dealing with this series and nothing makes sense. I also skipped everything since the ORIGINAL Kingdom Hearts, though I had many a fond sleepover centered around that game in 7th grade back in the day.
9) Doom Eternal (Release Date: March 20)
Another game I am still working on the prequel for, and will likely end up caving and buying and spoiling for myself anyway. Rip and Tear until it is done! This game shares a release date with my #1 spot, speaking of spoilers!!
8) Half-Life: Alyx (Release Date: March 23)
This gets docked many spots because I don’t currently have a VR setup. So even though it’s a Q1 release (which tends to be where the critical darlings land, outside of fall tentpole season).
7) Cyberpunk 2077
I was into this game before Keanu Reeves made it cool.
16) Halo Infinite
halohalohalohalohalohalohalohalohalohalohalohalohalo. I’ve been playing a ton of MCC and honestly this is the best fps series ever [drowns in mtn dew RED ALERT].
15) Vampires: the Masquerade - Bloodlines 2
I played the original Bloodlines on a laptop hooked up via HDMI to a widescreen (with the fat projection back!!) in my parents basement so that me and my boys could all come to communal decisions around
14) Planet Coaster (Console Edition)
I am hyped ffor this seriously just because I cannot grok the controls on PC. Like, I know this is a game about mastering the editing tools, Adobe style, and I cannot bring myself to do that for some sad reason. Hopefully the almighty Xbox controller can fix that for me.
13) Rainbow Six Quarantine
TOPICAL CORONAVIRUS ACTION. I swear this video showed up in search results for “quarantine r6”
2) Sonic At the Olympic Games: Tokyo 2020
I am hyped for two reasons. 1) Sonic is having a moment this year after hardworking CGI artists and Jim Carrey’s pure soul redeemed a godawful memey trailer. 2) Akira.
