Gallery: My Fourth Month Making Digital Art in Photoshop

Month 4 was very doodly and honestly there was a decent chunk of work that’s just been happening on paper as I’m trying to get used to drawing proportionally and without the back and forth scratchy motion of a stick n poke on sandpaper.

When it comes to filling in the lines, I had a lot of fun using the clone and pattern stamps to speed up my process, and pulling in photographs I’ve taken on my DSLR recently and tearing them apart for collaging.

Wishing you good vibes this spring!

“TRAWING” is what I call TRYING TO DRAW and I am trawing this guy’s wrinkles and armpit shades so hard!!!

Clone Stamp Cobra

This guy’s whole torso is me just trying to understand the clone stamp. Also, while that little crown logo might be working as a monogram pattern here, I know its too small and I gotta fix the one currently on the web page xD

An imaginary Artifact card for Magic: the Gathering. This one is a photo collage of images I took in a fireplace along with a copy and pasted glass lawn ornament and some brushwork.

Bridge to the Kingdom

Look when you have all these fire pics of yourself partying alone cuz COVID you gotta do something with them to help others understand the full scope of the moment. Actually think this is my best overall use of external media so far, but I gotta get out and shoot some other people to switch up the subject matter :P

Venting at the Table

This one was more of a real emotional vent than a focused art practice; trying to express some of the frustration I feel with Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria, the part of ADHD that basically makes me curl up in a ball the most.

How does one differentiate beiges? How does one differentiate fuzzy little textures? How does one build the perfect home for a perfect lil fluff ball?

PHILLY

Stoked on how the swoosh in the middle of all this came out, and wish it wasn’t the last thing I drew on the pic or else the image might have gone differently. Maybe it’s time to start devoting more time!!
