Gallery: My Fifth Month Making Digital Art in Photoshop

Five months into my digital art journey and I’m having lots of fun across mediums - I’ve been looking at my photography as raw material with which to sculpt impressionistic images, and using different Layer Effects in Photoshop to mess with colors and textures. Also I have been playing a ton of Warhammer 40k in quarantine, and it is taking over my brain. Get vaccinated!

To start to figure out what’s going on here, take a close look at the red “petals” on the edge of the “flower” - that beige is the head of an Ultramarines Primaris Intercessor sergeant.

T’au Movie Poster

Celebrating my favorite Warhammer 40,000 Xenos faction, the T’au here used a lot of different opacities to try to achieve a “Star Wars” poster composition.

I really want to transition to self-developed branding and visual identity. To that end, I’ve been trying to make some logos - the first attempt here, which sits on the site currently, is not my final design, just another stop along the road to something doper:
